Situated within the environment of an educational institution the Museum program offers the campus and community many opportunities for learning, participation and appreciation of the arts. To foster imaginative thinking and broad understanding, artists are invited to participate in Artist Talk, a regular feature of discussions with artists. These presentations are scheduled to coordinate with exhibitions, the collections, academic programs, and cooperative sharing between other regional colleges and universities. An Art Forum periodically assembles to address issues and concerns challenging artists, curators, collectors, and other art professionals. Artist Talk and Art Forum establishes an arena for one-to-one dialogue, group lecture, symposia and conference that serves a diverse audience.

The Museum resource center contains published materials, slides, video and audiotapes about collection artists. This library of information is housed in the Museum accessible to students and faculty and to members of the Museum.

Educational outreach programs offer tours and talks given by trained volunteer docent guides for school age children, young adults and adult patrons. These and other public activities are designed to generate enjoyment and enthusiasm for the Museum.
