In conjunction with the exhibition The Hill Becomes the Valley: American Landscape Photography from the P. John Owen Collection, Daum Museum presents an illustrated lecture by Keith Davis, Senior Curator of Photography, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 6 p.m., in the Stauffacher Theatre on the State Fair Community College campus. The Owen collection includes 132 prints by 45 photographers who primarily portray the sublime beauty of the American West and Southwest in the spirit championed by the influential photography group f.64. This talk will explore the topic of their artistic influence on photographers over the generations.
