2015 Annual Student Exhibition

The annual student exhibition, a State Fair Community College tradition dating back to the late 1960s, is open to all students currently talking studio art classes at the college. Interested student-artists collaborate with art department faculty to select work that best represents them. Each year, some 50 students exhibit close to one hundred artworks in a variety of media. Although every student is guaranteed a spot in the show, and outside juror is invited to designate a purchase award, cash awards, and honorable mentions. This year’s juror is Joe Bussell. Justin is an artist and educator living in the Kansas City area. He completed graduate degrees in ceramics and painting at Washington University in St. Louis.
