Establishing Essence

This exhibition draws from the animation style of Mary Blair and Eyvind Earle and explores elements of geometry, landscape, and color. The atmosphere of this gallery is intended to pull inspiration from stylistic, fantastical aspects of the animators and create a physical experience for the viewers that embodies the essence of early Disney artists. In this grouping, the Daum collection is recontextualized to evoke a sense of wonder in the everyday and a connective tissue that weaves the artists’ individual stories together.
