2022 Annual Student Exhibition
The annual Student Exhibition, a State Fair Community College tradition dating back to the late 1960s, is open to all students currently taking studio art classes at the college. Interested student-artists collaborate with art department faculty to select work that best represents them. Each year, some 50 students exhibit close to 100 artworks in a variety of media. Daum Museum of Contemporary Art continues its commitment to the local arts community with the hosting of NoBro @ the Daum. This exhibition features several artworks by each of 14 Sedalia-area artists, an overview that spans styles, media, and subject matter. The Daum at 20 celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the museum’s opening in 2002. The museum-wide exhibition will highlight the most significant acquisitions during this time period. Since the museum’s founding, based on the personal collection of the Daum’s primary benefactor, Dr. Harold F. Daum, the collection has increased from about 200 artworks to more than 2,000. Coalescence: Exploring Contemporary Ceramics and Artist Communities
Coalescence is a joining of artists and art organizations. Artaxis is a network of contemporary artists that engage the ceramics community through promotion, education, and networking.
